Heelers are known for our smarts, our boundless joy, and our keen sense of taste. So I’m inviting all my cowdog friends to join me in a little taste test, and I promise tasty prizes for all!
You know from reading these pages that I am a finicky eater with very particular likes and dislikes in my bowl. Well, I’ve developed what these days would be called a “curated list” of favorites [what does that even mean??].
Ladysmith’s Top Three Treats
- https://amzn.to/2TL2VSU These are so good – who knew sweet potatoes would be a favorite of a meat-eater like me?

Just slices of dried sweet potatoes – real simple, real good.

I love these! Mom says I’d eat them like popcorn or potato chips, if she let me. She usually finds the one pound package, and always gets American made.
3. I love homemade, of course – Mom makes them with what she has on hand, so I may get venison, Highland beef, a little bacon or chicken – even dried trout caught down in our own creek! They smell great baking – one reason I love them.
The Great Treat Compete Rules
Anyway, here’s how it works. Really simple. Buy one or more treats from my list, or find another one when you click through my list – it’ll give you other suggestions, too. Feed them to your canine expert, and then help your pooch e-mail me their review.
Let me know your favorites and why, and I’ll send you an generous treat package, that may even include some of Ladysmith’s favorite homemade biscuits!
And, for ordering our treats and helping us type our reviews, I will also hold a drawing for people treats – Dog Tired Bath Salts, T-shirts, whatever I can rustle up to give away.
Have fun, but don’t wait too long. In one month, I’ll gather your reviews and start boxing up treats to send out. Oh, the dessert plate is gonna ramp up for us cowdogs this month!
