A Cowdogs Advice

Grip up, America!

Simplify but… keep what is beautiful

09/17/2021 by ladysmith@cowdogsadvice.com

As you know, my focus lately has been cleaning and clearing out, part of the season of preparation. Last week, we survived a long weekend yard sale. Mercifully, I did not have to ramrod that event, but notice there is a lot less stuff in the barn, the shed, the shop and the house. After all, how many clothes do you really need, and how many bridles and blankets can the horses use? As a cowdog, I know how to travel lightly!

However, what you do have should be beautiful and pleasing. And today I’m excited to reveal my idea of beauty and utility. People don’t have the colorful speckled coat us Heelers wear.

You have to wear clothes of course, so shouldn’t they also tell everyone where your cowdog fits in your life?

That Heeler is your heart and soul, you are theirs. So here it is, your dogs heartbeat right over your heart.

I think I will make my Christmas list now, and give everyone the heartbeat of Heeler love!

Welcome!

I am Ladysmith, a Blue Heeler. I live in central Montana with the people I rescued; my dad, a crusty old cowboy who swore he would never have another dog last time, but has been completely smitten by me ever since we met. My mom, a kind writer and artist, who knows I am a angel sent from heaven, and helps me with this endeavor.
