I’m a simple cowdog.
I have told you in the past how I helped Simplify! Simplify!
We decluttered and downsized, through massive estate sales, yard sales, just being caretaker to less STUFF.
There is more stuff to get rid of, but right now it is all packed away until a nice long summer weekend.
Today I am celebrating the peace, elegance, ease found in the uncomplicated. So simple!
I have an intentional happy, satisfied focus. Mine is a collection of unadorned moments:
Fresh snow.
Not the nasty spring storm, bad roads, nagging thought that this may be the start of another ice age.
Just today, it is beautiful, clean, without tracks or mud.
I watched the wild turkeys, flying down from a fog-wrapped hillside.
Yesterday was first time this year, cranes circled and called from high overhead.
Already I go outside before dawn, and birds are singing!
This is a world full of distractions; there will be busy seasons, times of complications, trouble!
Just now, I will find peace in this plain moment.
The Lord is my shepherd: I lack nothing.
